How Vegans Can Improve Relationships and Communication During the Holidays

Date: Thursday, December 1, 2022

Time: 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 6 pm CET (75 mins)

Many vegans may find themselves in situations during the holidays where it’s difficult or impossible to feel connected with the nonvegans in their lives and to communicate about veganism in a way that doesn’t cause conflict. Vegans also often have trouble relating and communicating with other vegans when they disagree with each other’s ideas.

In this webinar, renowned psychologist Dr. Melanie Joy explains the principles and tools for creating healthy, connected relationships, and she shares tips on how to talk productively about even the most challenging issues that can arise during the holidays.

A recording of the webinar will be made available to all registrants after the event.

Please note that this presentation was previously delivered in October 2021.

About Beyond Carnism and the Center for Effective Vegan Advocacy

Beyond Carnism is a nonprofit, US-based, international organization dedicated to exposing and transforming carnism, the invisible belief system that conditions people to eat certain animals.

At Beyond Carnism, we believe that meaningful social change requires a two-pronged strategic approach, which entails weakening the oppressive system (carnism) and strengthening the system that challenges it (veganism). For this reason, all our programs are designed to decrease the power of carnism and increase the power of veganism, through awareness-raising and training.

Our Center for Effective Vegan Advocacy (CEVA) works to increase the impact of vegan advocacy worldwide by increasing the effectiveness of vegan advocates and organizations and by helping to create a more unified and resilient vegan movement.
